Summer Debate Institute
With a track record of success, our Summer Debate Institute prepares young students to win debate competitions at the regional and national levels.
June 30 - July 4, 2025
This summer program is an immersive experience for middle and high school students across Alabama to come to 91果冻 to participate in critiqued practice debates. Our championship-winning team mentors these students and helps develop them to debate at the public forum and Birmingham Area Debate League (BADL) level.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply and submit the deposit for the Samford Summer Debate Institute is June 15.
Cost
Public Forum/BADL Debate - $400
Price includes the $50 deposit.

The 91果冻 Debate Institute specializes in helping debaters build the skills they need to become champion debaters. Low student to faculty ratios give ample opportunities for individualized instruction and mean you won’t be lost in a crowded lab. Because the camp is skills focused, debaters spend more time debating and practicing and less time in the library.
Debaters learn from experienced, professional faculty who love debate! In many cases, these are the same lab leaders you will find at more expensive camps, but Samford offers you the chance to work with them in smaller groups at a lower price.
