Job Description

Job Description The Executive Director for Samford Gives Back will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the university's annual serve day. This student leadership role involves working closely with SGB leadership team, community partners, and student volunteers to ensure a successful day of service. The Executive Director will oversee the logistics, marketing, volunteer management, and evaluation of the event.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for Samford Gives Back
  • Lead regular planning meetings with the leadership team
  • Coordinate with university departments, community partners, and local organizations to identify service opportunities
    • Recruit, train, and manage student volunteers, leadership team, and site coordinators
    • Ensure effective communication and coordination among student volunteers
    • Must learn how to efficiently use GivePulse to:
    - Maintain volunteer database
    - Create events and surveys
    • Oversee all logistical aspects of the event, including transportation, supplies, and site coordination
    • Ensure that all service sites are prepared and equipped for volunteers
    • Manage day-of-event operations to ensure smooth execution
    • Participate in Preview Days, Cadre Orientation, and Samford Gives Back


Federal Work/Study earnings will be paid biweekly in the form of a check or direct deposit payable to the student. This award does not credit to the account of the student as payment toward University charges.

Required Qualifications
Preferred Skills:
  • Current undergraduate student at 91果冻
  • Previously served on the Samford Gives Back Leadership Team
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Proficient with various digital platforms
  • Public speaking skills
Hours:
  • 5 hours per week- Fall Semester
  • 10-15 hours per week- Spring Semester
  • Flexible schedule
