We offer ad placement, design, email, media, photography, videography, social media and web services.
Ad Placement
We manage all university advertising placements and work to affordably deliver competitive results.
Our in-house communication professionals touch all aspects of the advertising process, from ad development to delivery and optimization to reporting. Please allow 5 business days to receive and process advertising requests and 10 days for ad production.
Email Services
In collaboration with technology services and university advancement, we support external email communication sent through our enterprise email marketing tool. Technology services provides data, while advancement assists with data management, administrates the system and provides training in partnership with marketing and communication.

Graphic Design
Our in-house designers create award-winning brochures, flyers, posters, postcards, magazines and more.
While we make every effort to accept and complete projects as quickly and efficiently as possible, quality design takes time and schedules vary depending on the scope of the project and our current work load. Reserve your place in the production schedule as early as possible. If you are part of an academic unit, please consult the marketing and communication colleague in your school.
Licensing
Samford's brand is a valuable asset that requires protection.
In cooperation with our licensing partner, we ensure that Samford's trademark rights are enforced to clearly distinguish Samford from other organizations and avoid dilution of our brand or reputation in the market. We also maintain a list of licensed vendors to assist university colleagues in obtaining high-quality products that properly reflect the university's standing in higher education and our community.
Media Relations
Our staff of award-winning media professionals, represents the university to external media. We can assist in developing news and feature releases on behalf of departments and program areas that highlight events, academic achievements and other important news. We also maintain a list of campus experts who have expressed willingness to respond to specific media inquiries.
Photography
We provide photography services to promote the university and enhance the Samford brand. In addition to providing employee headshots and managing photo shoots, we also manage the university's enterprise photo library.
Videography
We produce videos that promote the university and align with its branding objectives.
We consider the potential viewership, cost and time of any given project. While we make an effort to accommodate as many requests as possible, projects are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once we receive your completed form, we will communicate within 72 hours to let you know if your project has been accepted.
Videos must meet at least one of the criteria below:
- Have high potential viewership based on the nature of the event
- Support recruitment for undergraduate or graduate programs
- Support fundraising or alumni engagement
- Enhance the reputation and/or awareness of Samford
We do not provide equipment for showing productions. Equipment requests should be made to the Technology in Learning Center.
Web Services
Web services protects Samford's brand; builds the university's reputation; drives student and employee recruitment; provides critical information for prospects, students and employees; and supports alumni, donor and community engagement by designing, developing and maintaining modern, standards-compliant web properties and email templates, providing measurement and analysis services, and improving the accuracy and effectiveness of electronic content.
